Kickstarter

Thank you everyone who volunteered to wait. The wait may not be very long. I misunderstood the issue. It seems there was a small problem with how a batch of the wool/alpaca was spinning. That left us short approx 25 beanies for what's shipping TOMORROW. But, I've been told, there's enough 1st edition wool and alpaca for all of the beanies we've promised. A more detailed update will follow on Thursday after I've had a first hand look.

It's been seriously cold here in NE and I know that all of you want your beanies.

I'm heading up to VT on Wednesday Jan 30th to ship out the New Year's beanies. Unfortunately, I was told last night that, "we are going to be about 25 hats short due to mishap with the yarn, it couldn't be predicted until knitting started."  I don't know what that means yet (is it for one style of hat or across the board?), but I do know that 25 people will be disappointed and that we'll do everything possible to make them happy. As soon as I know the details I'll post them.

If you want to volunteer to wait for a 2nd edition (or rev 1.5) beanie with something extra TBD please let me know ASAP. I don't know how long it'll take to ship, but suspect it could be another month. Details to follow.

When I'm up in VT we'll be talking about the 2nd edition and setting up a star search for who will be the next Sally Mae.

I hope your holidays were wonderful and that your year is off to a great start. The backers who received their Christmas beanies have been giving them rave reviews. Here's what Eric wrote us:

The First Edition is closing early. We hoped to make 400 beanies but it now looks like the full run will be limited to approximately 325. We're no longer accepting orders for 1st Editions. We've begun sourcing fiber for a 2nd Edition and hope to show samples online soon.

Liz and Jodee in have been making the yarn for the New Year's beanies and the knitting is about to begin. All of the beanies should be shipped by the end of this month - about 1 week later than we had targeted. Some beanies will be available sooner - we might be able to ship some by the end of next week. If you really need to have your beanie(s) before the 1st week of February please let me know. We'll do the best we can.
