About this project
The Screening: Mar 4th at 1PM
We, the Charles River Swimming and Diving Team, have wrapped production on the dramatic conclusion of the Central Square Detective Agency. The next step: screen all three episodes for the general public in a veritable explosion of suspenseful comedy noir. Duty-bound to bring the proper cinematic experience (and beer and popcorn) to this event, we have selected the historic Brattle Theatre, an independent non-profit single screen theater located in Harvard Square. We have booked the theater on Sunday, Mar 4th at 1pm and tickets will be available for purchase shortly.
The Cost:
Typical rental costs of the Brattle range from $750- $1500, depending on the time slot. Please Note: The terms of Kickstarter require that we raise the full goal amount ($900) to receive funding.
The Series:
The Central Square Detective Agency is a three episode comedy/noir series produced, cast, and filmed in and around Cambridge, MA by the Charles River Swimming and Diving Team. The first 2 episodes have appeared in steady rotation on CCTV and are also available on the web.
Episode 1: The Mystery of the Missing Metal Man:
Cambridge. Its a rough old town filled with men with big dreams and miserable little lives. Two hard-boiled private investigators doggedly stalk the mean streets solving crime, finding lost souls, and tracking down the relentless hipster-criminal element. In episode 1, our heroes must find the research project of an ambitious MIT post doc before it falls into the wrong hands. There's only one catch: the project is a self-aware humanoid robot killing machine with superhuman strength!
Episode 2: The Case of the Harvard Henchman and the Jilted Jane:
Johnny and Ronnie try to find a vanished Harvard Business School graduate student for his desperate fiancee...but have they accidentally stumbled upon something much more sinister?!!! (answer: yes)
Episode 3: The Adventure to Avenge Anastasia:
This time, its PERSONAL: Johnny and Ronnie hunt down the yegg (or yeggs) suspected of knocking over a series of yard sales in the Cambridge area. But it's not just another case for our intrepid detectives as these yeggs are no ordinary gonifs...they're also suspected of bumping off Annie!

FAQ
-
This glorious screening will take place on Mar 4th, 2012 at 1pm.
-
Our producers have been in deep consultation with representatives of all the major world faiths, ancient civilization scholars, and Al Gore. Therefore, we have chosen Mar 4th to give us a cushion of at least four (4) weeks before the onset of Ragnorak, Armageddon, or catastrophic sea level rise.
