Friends--
We did it! 329 of you joined us as backers of Carbon Zero, pledging a total $18,861 over 29 days. That's just awesome.
I'll be back in touch soon, to share more about the progress of the project, and to update you about your rewards.
For now, though, let me just say thank you again for making this happen. It's really wonderful.
Best,
Alex

Hey friends--
Only eight hours left in our Kickstarter campaign for Carbon Zero. If you know someone who's been planning to pledge, but hasn't, now's the time to give them a little nudge.
Here's the short link, to share: http://kck.st/dWOLB8
Thank you so much for all you support and encouragement. This is a whirlwind process, and a lot of fun, if a little crazy. More updates to follow this...
Best
Alex
Are you up for raising a little ruckus? Making a little statement? Want to hack the world's biggest crowdfunding site?
Only four days remain on our Kickstarter campaign to fund and publish an Earth Day ebook, Carbon Zero.
We've hit our minimum funding goal, and now our minds are turning to building some buzz for the project. Though we hope the merits of the project carry it far, the barriers to reaching a wide audience are very real. Let's face it: serious books about sustainability rarely top the charts. It's time to get creative!
Kickstarter is no different than the Times book review. The most popular projects on Kickstarter (the world's biggest crwodfunding platform) get a lot more attention than the more obscure ones, including buzz on the Web and coverage in the media. The most popular projects on Kickstarter are, right now, a metallic beverage cooler, a wide-grip stylus for touch screens and a Chinese-themed role-playing game. Worthy and fun projects all, but not exactly, well, transformative work.
But here's the great thing about top project lists online: they're hackable. From what I can tell, about 170 people pledging in a day makes you (on most days) the most popular project on Kickstarter.
Will you help make Carbon Zero the most popular project on Kickstarter today, Monday, April 11th?
We only need to find 170 new backers tomorrow to do that. We need you, however, to help find them.
If you haven't already pledged, please do! It takes only a moment, and pledges can be for as little as $1 (though larger pledges bring some nifty rewards).
If you have pledged, please take two minutes to spread the word, by using Twitter, Kickstarter, your blog or email to encourage your friends and colleagues to help make Carbon Zero the most popular project on Kickstarter.
Here are the links to the project website:

Let's make a statement: bold climate action is more popular than metal beverage coolers... or at least it is today.
Thank you!
Alex
