Our goal is to curate an exhibition and publish a catalog entitled: "Embodied: A 10-Year Retrospective of Kent Anderson Butler."

"Embodied: A 10-Year Retrospective of Kent Anderson Butler" at The W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery in Pomona, CA is scheduled to open on January 10, 2012. The exhibition will feature video, still documentation, and photography that the artist uses to explore his own body through mental and spiritual phenomena such as pain, pleasure, struggle, redemption, and restoration.

The catalog will feature over 100 images of Kent's work, along with an introduction by the Director of the W. Keith and Janet Kellog University Art Gallery Shari Wasson; an interview conducted by Tyler Stallings, Director of Culver Center of the Arts, UCR;  and essays by G. James Daichendt, Azusa Pacific University; Susan Joyce, Fringe Exhibitions; and Thomas McGovern, California State University, San Bernardino.

Your contributions will make the exhibition and catalog possible. The publication will serve as an informed and lasting document of Kent Anderson Butler's oeuvre. Please give generously to make this moment of California art and culture a success!

Kent Anderson Butler has participated in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally including: The International Biennial of Contemporary Art, Venezuela, The Pasadena Museum of California Art, Fringe Exhibitions – Los Angeles, Orange County Museum of Art, Cave Gallery- Brooklyn, NY, Photo Miami, Track 16 Gallery- Santa Monica, Carl Berg Projects-West Hollywood, Art Center College of Design, and Hunter College, NY. His video work is also in the video art libraries at Pierogi Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, and Fringe Exhibitions.
