From June 9 to 12, 200-300 visionary people will gather together at the Sacramento River Delta and make art, exchange ideas, and play in the water.
Last year, we had a cluster of houseboats. This year, we want to add a 20'x24' floating central platform where we can dance, perform, do yoga, have live music, hold micro-talks, and more! Even better, we expect the platform can be reused next year, and if it works well, we can go on to add shade, lights, and many other potential goodies.
A cadre of committed volunteers has designed and prototyped the platform, and will build it at the site. Our progress is documented here. We need your help to purchase materials and fund the transportation and storage.
In exchange, YOU get to help decide how the platform will be used. Proposals will be collected and posted, and for every $25 you donate, you get a "share" that entitles you to a vote.
Our cost breakdown is here. This kickstarter is set for the amount necessary to build a 12'x16' foot platform. We'd really like to build one that is 20'x24' (costing $2700). Keep that in mind: Everything you donate goes to building more platform!
