This is an independent documentary on those who take the less beaten path in life and learn to thrive in a sinking economy.
The goal of this project is to interview independent business owners who either never went to college or dropped out and built successful businesses. Today's society is so focused on getting on the path and going to college. I am personally one of those college students. As i enter my fourth year of school on the path to be a pharmacist i wish i would have known more options. Many high school grads simply go to college because its an easy decision to make that is rarely considered to be the wrong one. I wish I was exposed to more walks of life before I made the long term commitment of being a pharmacist. There are many ways to live life and be successful. It seems sometimes the most fitting careers for a specific person get passed by simply because people don't know what they are looking for. We all know there are many people out there who are extremely intelligent and successful who never went to college.
I would like to provide a film showing students, dropouts, middle aged people, and anybody with a plan in mind that it can be done. I want to show evidence that with enough effort anything is possible.I would like to do this by interviewing private business owners who started with nothing became successful. What inspired these people? What caused them to take risks that nobody else was willing to take? How did they learn to do what they did? By dissecting the minds of these people we will have a better understanding of how to achieve goals and overcome obstacles in the way.
I am a very passionate person, and I do believe with enough effort anybody can make anything happen. I am going to pour my passion into making a video that will excite people and inspire them in the same way I am excited and inspired to achieve dreams. This is a nonprofit video that will be produced by me. 100% of the money invested by backers will be put towards equipment, copywrited software, and the production of this film. Anybody who has worked endless hours and was able to make it happen will appreciate this because they understand what it takes. On the other end anybody who has wanted to try something and didn't know where to start will also find this intriguing.
