Hello, Beloved Mall Dogs Supporters!

We’re moving!
As you can see, many kind, caring people like you pledged over $6,800 to help make the Mall Dogs Project a reality. This is a great testament to your passion and concern—and is actually much more than other similar projects raise. However our time on Kickstarter is about to run out before we raise the full amount necessary to complete the project. It’s become clear that a non-commercial project like Mall Dogs needs a bit more time for funding, so we’re moving the project to dogparent.com to continue fundraising. 

Your credit card will not be charged by Kickstarter. According to their terms, when a project is unsuccessful in raising the full amount, no one will get charged. You owe nothing. 

However, if you still want to support Mall Dogs (and we hope you do!), we urge you to make a pledge at our new pledge site: http://www.dogparent.com 

We’re offering the same rewards and everything else about the project is the same. If you do make a pledge, we will not collect any money until the full amount of the project costs have been pledged. That way you are 100% assured that the project is a go before you actually make a donation.

We’re excited and hopeful that the Mall Dogs Project will be funded by the end of the year and we can begin production in early 2013. In fact, we have potential interest from several sponsor donors who needed more time to arrange funding.

We did lots of research before embarking on our Kickstarter campaign and the key to success in fundraising here is, in addition to having a good project and video, having THOUSANDS of supporters. So, pulling out the calculator, that means from this point forward, we'd need:
1,048 more backers to pledge $50 each
OR
2,620 backers backers to pledge $20 each.

Conversely, we can also meet our goal by securing:
4 backers to pledge $10,000 each and 3 backers to pledge $5,000 each.

2, 2620. That's the population of the town of Empire, Wisconsin (at least according to the 2000 census). Or the maximum capacity of the Cunard-RMS Queen Mary 2 cruise ship. When you think of it that way, it's not that many, is it? 2,620 people who care about shelter animals and want to see more people adopt. Worth 20 bucks, don't ya think?

We're working hard to find those folks and are so very grateful for your help in spreading the word.
