We have finished the 8 foot deep kidney!! The plaster has cured nicely and after a summer of swimming we have had a fall full of skating. there have been many skaters enjoying what we have created so far.

We have gotten this far with time and money people have donated, as well as my own investments, including tons of help and donations from skaters and bmxers from all over. Richmonders especially.

 We thought the previous donations would have stretched a little bit further, but we had a huge setback with the pool "popping" and floating out of the ground from a major rainstorm in march.

We are looking for help to keep this project moving. The funding we are hoping to get here will get us a long way.

It will provide The Lost Bowl with  a "flow" area consisting of alot of smaller creative concrete forms to skate including standard  quarters, a  parking block topped spine, a marble ledge, a long curved quarter and a super tight pool coping topped quarter. Some of this stuff will be smaller and more fun for beginner skaters.  

It will also provide the pool with the much needed drainage up top to prevent the pool from "popping" again. These drains will be very important for rain water runoff. they will keep rain water from collecting under the pool.

This money will all go towards concrete, rebar, and cinder blocks. We have parking blocks, pool coping, tile, steel coping and some granite for the project. With these resources we will be able to create some fun, unique and artistic skatable concrete!

When we are done with phase 2 we will have over 1600 sq feet of skatable terrain, not including the bowl!!  And we will continue to expand even more! Richmond skaters will finally have a place to skate!

We also have hopes of starting an afterschool program for inner city youths in the fall of 2012.

If we reach and surpass our goal, all of the remaining funds will go to future expansions.
