Load-out is Saturday, August 18th and we head to Black Rock City on the 21st. We're hoping for a smooth assembly and looking forward to the CORE Art Walk on Tuesday, August 28th from 2-5pm. Stop by to chat with our docents Kat & Mike and leave a message on the Tree.
CORE burns in 19 days!
We finished the central Tree effigy on Sunday and we’re gearing up to celebrate! Everyone is invited.

We’ll be drawing the Burning Man ticket raffle winner, decorating Leaves, BBQ-ing with keg, listening to Music, and playing with Fire after dark (bring your toys, fuel provided!)

Bring a chair and cup. We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers (cooked on a separate veggie grill). All side dishes provided by CORE members, a la pot luck. Feel free to bring some of your own. Donations greatly appreciated.
Come out to commemorate the project’s completion, see Grow Fourth before it leaves for Black Rock City, support the Portland CORE volunteers, spend an afternoon with Regional Burners and enjoy a summer day with friends.
This week has been busy, getting ready for the Portland Regional: SOAK*.
We are sending two Seed Pods to the event and will watch them Burn for the first time since we built them almost two months ago. How time flies!
When we get back, we will have to build two replacement Pods so we can send them to the Vancouver, Canada Regional: Burn in the Forest.
And yes! We will start building our central Tree effigy in July, with a completion date of August 4th, since our official fun-raiser will take place on Sunday, August 5th. We will be raffling one ticket to Burning Man and other amazing prizes.
