Here You Go
Project by Julie Kresen

Here You Go is a community project intended to spread and inspire kindness in our region. On rainy days, volunteers in various neighborhoods distribute umbrellas to people who are stuck in the rain. Each umbrella has a postcard attached to it with a message gently nudging the recipient to, in turn, do something kind for someone else. Umbrella recipients are not required to do anything. However, if they are interested in telling Here You Go about what they did to pass on the good will, they can send the pre-paid postcard to a P.O. Box and the cards will be posted on a blog at http://hereyougo.tumblr.com. Recipients can also submit directly to the website. Charitable giving strengthens confidence in oneself and faith in humanity. Through these small gestures, Here You Go hopes that people will be inspired to help others and feel the emotional
satisfaction that comes from giving.
This project is supported in part by a Seed Award from the Sprout Fund.
The money raised will be used to purchase the umbrellas, postcards, postage, P.O. Box, string and stickers.
