This is a book about China for kids that uses the alphabet for 26, A to Z, informational categories with a rhyme, pictures, and facts.

I am ready to publish my book and would love your help. It is an informative book about China geared towards kids. It uses the alphabet as a framework to teach about China's culture, geography, and history. Each of the 26 topics has a four-line rhyme, a full-page photo, brief facts, a second photo, and the Chinese character.
I have two prior publications that have laid the groundwork for this, my next book. I am aware of the scope, costs, and feasibility of it. A lot of the book is done and ready, meaning I have the topics chosen, the rhymes written, the facts researched, the format/skeleton ready, and the pictures chosen. All that remains is to spend the time formatting, proofreading, and manufacturing. I am already signed up with a national distributor with a nationwide sales force that makes the book available anywhere and everywhere.
The cost for printing and shipping to me 1000 books is $4000. Shipping the books to the distributor in Chicago is $500. I will pay for a professional illustrator to do the front cover for $250 (I already have a great guy lined up through elance). I will pay for a one-month subscription to shutterstock for $250 (I already have the photos chosen and in my "shopping cart" waiting for me to subscribe). I already have the ISBN number bought and ready to go as well as the barcode. The rest is just time and effort on my part.
I am a teacher and I aim to finish this as soon as summer starts. I will keep you updated on the steps along the way as my timeline progresses.
Basically, I have all the pieces in place for this. However, it will be so much easier to convince my wife to let me do it (again) if it is pre-funded, instead of we-funded.
