"The Fishbowl" is a dark comedy about the allure, culture, and ultimate price of fame. The shoot is scheduled for one weekend in March. This is our first time collecting funds from Kickstarter, and our hope is that this method goes well enough that we can continue to use crowdsourced funds to create more work down the line.

Synopsis

The Fishbowl, America's favorite reality show, is searching for contestants in a town near you! When girl-next-door Kelly seeks the adoration of the show's millions of fans, will all the attention and isolation be too much to bear?

Who are you, anyway?

We are a group of filmmakers based in and around Boston, MA and Providence, RI. We have a script, as well as most of our essential crew, and we're currently entering into preproduction. Our goal is to shoot for one weekend in March. We need to raise $1500 for production costs, which would go towards expenses like equipment rentals, set decoration, props, food, etc.

Why should I donate?

Why, there's a million different reasons! For one thing, you're supporting the arts, which gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, right in the cockles. If you're more of the self-interested type - and why not, you're great! - we've got some rewards for you, listed just over on the right side of the screen.
