INTRODUCING... MODOair Nobel Collection kinetic art sculptures by Andy & Clark, a couture handcrafted mobile line inspired by kinetic sculptor Alexander Calder and in honor of Nobel WORLD PEACE leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Eisaku Sato, Aung San Suu Kyi, Martin Luther King, and Jane Addams. We're two artistically creative guys with a dream to add Zen and handcrafted graceful beauty to the stressful world we live in and looking to Kickstarter to help get our work seen and collected by people around the world.
Here's where you come in! Through this Kickstarter campaign, MODOair is seeking funds to:
• build a robust website through which patrons can order, purchase, and collect MODOair kinetic art sculptures,
• create and distribute effective promotional materials as we court and engage retail galleries and boutiques who will feature our kinetic sculptures, and lastly,
• purchase additional high-end materials and supplies to create even more MODOair pieces for our Nobel collection!
MODOair has grown to over 3,000 international Facebook fans in just several days of it's launch and has also placed pieces with a luxury home accessories showroom in Hollywood, California!
There is still plenty of room for creating more couture pieces, so don't hesitate to line up for a front row seat on the MODOair runway (a thousand backers would be phenomenal!). We are excited to make our mobile pieces available to our supporters on this amazing platform.
Our idea is to offer MODOair for a limited time directly as a pre-release launch before incurring additional exhibition costs and markups once we go into galleries. To satisfy everyone who wants to own an original handcrafted luxury piece from our Nobel collection, we will fill every order pledged during our 30 day kickstarter campaign... even if it's a million! Our kinetic art sculptures are uniquely artisanal, beautifully crafted and visually powerful. They make great conversation pieces and bring Zen to any interior space.
ARTISTIC PROCESS
We work from an original sketch, handcrafting and sculpting each piece with passion and attention to detail. We are both accomplished artists with over 30 years of experience, now joining forces to create MODOair. If you're not familiar with the Kickstarter model, the way it works is you receive a reward for an accompanying pledge in support of our project which will help us with marketing, production expenses and building a website. The more you pledge the more luxurious the rewards and the better you, Andy, and Clark feel. Besides positive participation in the life of two artists and good karma "Zen" vibes, rewards include:

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Since every piece is designed, honed, constructed and balanced by our own 2 sets of hands, if MODOair takes off to the extent we hope it will, it could be a challenge to keep up with demand. We look at each individual mobile as a unique piece of fine art, which doesn't lend itself necessarily to an one-size fits all, assembly line approach. Certainly we feel energized and up for that potential challenge. Our pieces are sturdy and at the same time, delicate. The larger pieces, while very light are also quite large. With international interest building through our Facebook page, packaging and shipping our pieces around the world in a secure, cost effective way is something we are and must continue to be mindful of. The issue of getting a deliverable through international Customs is something we have talked about and looked into, but as of now, something we don't see as a problem. We will need to keep a watchful eye on that.
