What is Conquest Tactics? 

Conquest Tactics is a non-collectible strategy card game played on a grid battlefield, which allows you to visualize the battle in a less abstract, more concrete way. Your opponent and you lead your armies across a battlefield toward a fiery clash, employing hand management, resource allocation and battlefield strategy to outwit each other. You deploy Troop cards to a grid battlefield and pay Tactical Points to move, attack and cast spells. You can teach Spells and Skills to your entire army and reuse them at each turn. Rather than pursue a single goal, Conquest Tactics has several different Victory Conditions that can be achieved in order to win. You might choose to invade and occupy your opponent’s side of the field, destroy their base, challenge troops that are stronger than your own or upgrade a troop to its highest potential. You must achieve three victory conditions to win the match.

So what’s Inferno?
The Conquest Tactics starter set was successfully Kickstarted earlier this year and has since been picked up for national distribution in comic and gaming shops. We’re now Kickstarting the first expansion to the base set. Inferno will include 40 new cards, encompassing all of the different card types. The most important feature of the expansion is that for each of the 40 new cards, you'll receive every copy you need. That means five copies of every Troop, three of every Spell and Skill, two of every Base, and so on. One purchase and you're all set! The expansion includes some of our favorite cards, some new mechanics that complement old cards, and some great new Victories and Bases to really open up game play possibilities.

This is also a great opportunity for new players to jump on, since we’re offering some great package deals for the starter set that will save money over buying and shipping it at retail price.

Your vote counts
In the crowd-sourcing spirit of Kickstarter, we’re giving you the chance to determine some of the cards that will go into the set! We’ll be highlighting different cards that will be candidates for inclusion in the set throughout the campaign. Backers will get to vote on which of those cards to include as part of the post-campaign survey. Not only will you be helping to fund production of the product, your vote will help to shape the contents!


Stretch Goals
$14k – Filler Packs – When you buy the expansion, you’ll be getting every copy of every card in that set. That’s not the case with the starter set because we wanted to include functional decks rather than a simple collection of cards. If we get to $14k, we’ll produce a 72 card deck comprised entirely of the scarcest cards from the starter set, allowing you to fill out your collection even cheaper than before!

$20k – Jumbo Boards and Multiplayer Rules – You’ve been asking for it for over a year now, and we’re ready to deliver! If we get to $20k, we’ll produce and release the 2 to 4 player multiplayer rules for Conquest Tactics, along with a much larger board!
