Update #20: Ship Date Update + Mission Accomplished

Posted on May 15

First and most importantly to you all -- our awesome backers -- we will be shipping the $50+ rewards by the second week of June. This is a bit delayed from our original estimate due to the needs of the production process. Because this is considered a small order by our printer's standards, they were unable to automate part of the process, and to ensure the level of quality we required, it took a little bit longer. We know you'll be happy with the result! Backers under the $50 level can expect rewards by the end of May.

Even receiving your set in June, you will still be a few months ahead of when the game hits shelves because...

Conquest Tactics has officially been picked up for nationwide distribution by Alliance Game Distributors! Shops across the country will be able to place orders for the game starting in July and it will begin to appear on shelves in September. You know what that means...tell your local comic and gaming shops about us and start a community of ConTac-ers!

Thanks to all for the support. We can't wait for each of you to start stomping gungets and hurling fireballs!

Thanks guys, guessing you meant $50 and under backers would get copies by end June rather than end May, or are you rewarding thrift :) GM

Nope, I meant what I said and I said what I meant, the under $50 rewards are ready, one hundred percent! The $50 and over rewards all involve copies of the full game, which has encountered the aforementioned production delay. The $5, $10, $20 and $30 reward levels don't include copies of the full game but involve smaller things that have already all come in, so we're able to send those out sooner. We believe we owe it to each backer to send them their rewards as soon as we're able!

Update #18: Convention and Release Date Update

Posted on April 27

Great news about our ORIGINS (Columbus, OH May 31 -- June 3) booth -- we just got our location assignment and not only are we right next to Rio Grande Games (Dominion), but we're right near the main entrance! Find us in booth 307! The first thing you will see when you walk in is our 8 foot Kaborha warrior peeking around the corner. In addition, we reserved a demo table in the Open Gaming Hall and will be running demos for all four days of the convention.

We have a firm date for the re-release to the general public! Gamers can grab a copy of Conquest Tactics starting June 4, once we return to Maryland and Connecticut after our trip to Columbus. We are still on schedule to get all of your backer copies in the mail before ORIGINS begins, but obviously shipping will depend on when everything is printed and perfect. We will keep you posted.

If you haven't already, you can follow us on Twitter (@ConquestTactics) or Like us on Facebook for more frequent updates. See you online (and hopefully a few of you in Columbus!) and thank you all for your continued support.

Unfortunately not this year. By the time Kickstarter came though, they had run out of Entrepreneur Booths. Thanks so much for your support!!

Update #16: Giveaways, Polls and Con Updates!

Posted on March 6

For the last month the ConTac team has been like a duck going upriver: quiet above the surface but paddling furiously to keep up.  In light of our Kickstarter success we've had quite a bit to organize and set in motion, so we haven't had a free moment to let you guys know how things are going. But now we've finally quacked.

Firstly, we drew two names out of a hat (and by hat I mean random number generator in excel) and would like to congratulate Jason Saldana and Stephan Szabo who have each won a hand carved Conquest Tactics miniature!  A member of our development team is also a talented miniatures sculptor, and will be crafting these two figures over the next two months to include them in Jason and Stephan's starter sets.  We may have more mini giveaways later on, so keep your eyes peeled!

Next, on the game implements side of things, we have some updates on the new boxes and Tactical Point indicators.  Don Aguillo -one of our top artists- has been working diligently on a brand new design for our boxes, and once we have a better draft of the design we'll post it up here for you guys to see first!  We're also researching different little pieces to use as Tactical Points indicators, and once we've decided on 2-3 different pieces we'll put up photos and let our backers vote on which piece to use.  You'll decide which piece goes in the starter sets!

As far as conventions are concerned, we have good news and bad news.  Good news is, we got a booth at Origins!  We'll send out more details when we get them, but the bottom line is that we'll be in Ohio from May 30-June 3 hosting a booth in the Entrepreneur's Avenue section of the convention!  The bad news is, by the time our funding cleared from Kickstarter, GenCon was already out of booths in Entrepreneur's Avenue, so we won't be able to attend this year :(  Overall we're really excited that we landed a booth in one of the two big conventions this year, and next year we'll shoot for both of them.

We'll have more updates as things develop, but for now I'll sign off.  Thanks again for all your support!
