This project is two fold. One, is the publishing of Woo Dat in both print and digital modalities. Woo Dat is a completed book ready to be published. It is a handbook or how- to guide on the state of communications and relations in the world today. Woo Dat is about bringing the old school way of wooing back into 21st century relationships. Based in New Orleans, each chapter begins with a New Orleans monument. That monument threads in analogy throughout the chapter. Here are some chapter examples from the book, Woo Dat: Chapter One: The Art of Woo Chapter Two: Woo Worthy Chapter Three: Beware of WOOves in sheep’s clothing Chapter Four: The Bait/Date: Masterdater vs. the Masterbaiter Chapter Five: Counting Coup Chapter Six: Cafe Du Funde Chapter Seven: Woodoo Chapter Eight: Return of the Woo: The WOO DAT CHALLENGE. 

The second part of this project is establishing the publishing company, French Quarter Press in which Woo Dat will be published. After the successful publishing of Woo Dat, French Quarter Press will then be publishing fiction and non-fiction books. All books published through French Quarter Press will have New Orleans based and southern based themes. In the works from various authors are the following books: Nine loves, Nine lives: fiction short stories by Amy Venezia. Dating Tales from Southern Belles: Humorous short stories of some of the most sensational dating tales you have ever heard...by: Amy Venezia and Kristen Ponthier.

French Quarter Press aims to promote and market books in a new and ingenious way. Thinking outside of the box, each marketing plan is specifically tailored for each book. Instead of traditional publishing outlets, French Quarter Press will specialize in new, untapped markets available to promote books. As well as the traditional major bookstores and online markets. 

The $8,500 is what it will take to build the foundation and get the first book, Woo Dat out to the public.
