Edison and Tesla
Here they are -- the final "fantasy" scientists to round out the Stretch Goal Package: Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla. They will come free along with the other extra scientists: Curie, Darwin and Einstein.

Tesla totally pushed me over the top to pledge.

I would have raged had Tesla not been included.

Michael Faraday was the last cut.
We intentionally kept out the computer scientists. Not because they did anything wrong, certainly, but we had to use some arbitrary criteria to guide who to make.
There are certainly games around any number of these different clusters of interesting people.

Really glad to see Tesla!
I would love to see Alan Turing added myself. In fact, there's a whole set of computer scientists you could do, Babbage, Turing, Lovelace, Pascal, etc ... :)

Keep up the good work on updating us so engagingly. it is shocking that so many project proposers on Kickstarter don't!
Is Charles Steinmetz being considered or Charles Babbage or Humphry Davy or Michael Faraday?

Hi Addison,
They haven't been playtested at all. Mathematically, they are balanced within the tolerances that we've balanced the game within.
The short answer is, if you're playing The New Science to have fun, mix-and-match at will. If competitive balance is granularly important to your group, play with the two sets separately.

Are the fantasy scientists balanced only against each other, or can they be swapped in with the Old Guard one for one?
