Update #2: The college years
Hello there Backer!
Three weeks ago, I launched this Kickstarter project and within that short amount of that time, your donations have helped me raise 78% of the funds. I am humbled by the support, and excited as every day the book My White Friends becomes a reality.
While the NATO summit has taken over downtown Chicago, things are still happening in the studio on the North side.
The first round of buttons have arrived, and many are already trying to get one. But these are just for you, my proud backers. I promise to keep them safe until you receive one after June 16th.
As promised, here are some more stories and pictures about those who have been sitters in my project.
When you walked into my college sophomore suite, you were greeted by this mural of its residence. (And yes that is a Prince symbol... we did love a good dance party). Each of us a had a distinctively different personality and we all got along like a family. Crazy what happens when you grow up.

A true benefactor contribution. For your extreme generosity, I will travel to you, and create a portrait of you.
