Hey friends, family, web wanderers,
For the last 6 months or so I've been working on and off recording and creating in my bedroom to finish my alternative folk project Kith & Kell. I'm calling the EP Wilderness King as the album really focuses on escaping to the woods of Alaska and northern California. I'm proud to say the music is FINALLY done and I think its my best work yet! It's time to take this music to the stage and on the road in order to make it come to life - thats why I've come to kickstarter.com...

I've tallied up everything and decided that $10,000 is what I need to launch this project the way I want. This includes money for: (figures are close estimates)
- final mixing and mastering - $1000
- duplicate/screen print the EP for CD and Vinyl - $1500
- tour up the west coast to SF, Portland and Seattle. - $2200
- rent LA rehearsal space - $500
- pay out the 6 friend-musicians I need for their rehearsal time - $2,000
- design and print limited edition debut posters, T-shirts and money for designers - $800
- to purchase additional live show equipment needed to pull off the live performance - $1200
- publicity, promotion I need to help book and promote better shows - $800
We've come up on a rad time in music where DIY is stronger than it's ever been with sites like Kickstarter. I would love the support of a respected label down the road but to get their interest I have to create this on my own. Normally musicians would go in debt to do this but no longer!
