Update #2: New Pledge Option
Quite a few of you have asked why there isn't a perk/pledge option for around $500. We just wanted to let you know that we have listened and now there is that option - check it out! Thanks.

Here are some photos during the our pitch at Hot Docs!!! Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival, conference and market - an essential meeting place for the international documentary industry. It was an incredible experience and we were honored (and still are) to have been chosen.

White Trillium Reward : The above plus: a mention within the credits at the end of the film under 'Principal Donor', private Skype calls from team members to give you production updates, an exclusive invitation to a screening of an early version of the documentary during post-production. We intend to screen any early version to an audience of around 100 to get some feedback before the final version of the documentary (Dates and locations TBC - own transport & lodging must be provided).

Encyclia Reward : The above plus: your name in the Associate Producer credits and a unique opportunity to come on location to be part of a production shoot. We want to offer a first hand glimpse of this epic struggle and provide a better understanding of the issue from both sides. Donors must provide travel to Peru (we will offset your carbon footprint of your investigational trip), lodging and have fully comprehensive travel insurance.

Yachaywasi (ya-chai-wasi) Films -- meaning house of learning -- vision is to create innovative, artistic and thought provoking documentary films with a call to action, which explore world and socio-environmental issues. Whilst pushing the boundaries of how documentary films are made and perceived, YFs aim to strengthen the personal, intuitive response of the audience. We bring under-reported issues to international attention through the power of cinematic filmmaking and passionate story telling aiming to inspire individuals and societies to become catalysts for change - both locally and intenationally
Thank you so much to everyone that has helped us successfully reach our goal! We are truly grateful and very excited that so many of you have come together to make this happen.
A question we are being asked .... do we still need funds? Yes we do. We have asked for $5000 as it is what we need for the next stage of production ... however fundraising will be on-going process. Any additional contributions go towards completion funding which is estimated at around $120,000. We know it sounds like an awful lot but for a high end doc it really isnt. Also.... more public (non-returnable funding) funds we get, the more we can give back to the communities involved in the production.
