UN Design is a collaboration platform founded by a team of two brothers, an Industrial Designer and an Architect. This combination allows us to tackle projects and design challenges that cross over and beyond the boundaries of both disciplines.

In response to the recent disaster and catastrophic events occurring in Japan, my brother and I in these few days have managed to gather US$2,692.00 to be donated to Japan on behalf of UN Design Ltd. This amount is from our own pockets and will not be deducted from and of the pledged funds. We hope you will join in the effort to help our friends in Japan and help them through this crisis.

Your suggestion is a good one and we will take it into consideration for the next stage in the development of accessories for this project.
We do have several concepts in the works right now for accessories which can be used to interchange and compliment the parts developed in UN01.
These concepts will be in our next round of developments. We will keep you posted.

There have been a number of enquiries regarding "How they can update their pledge amounts to include the forgotten shipping cost?"
All you have to do is go to your "Manage My Pledge" section and put in the new TOTAL including the shipping cost for each level.
For example: Pledge $30 + shipping $5 = $35 (new TOTAL)
No backers are charged until the projects end date so your initial pledge amount has not been charged to your account yet.

Good luck with the project, I hope that the financial goal is met! Sorry if it has been mentioned already, but I think a wrist strap might be a little more practical than a neck strap. It is still a mobile device and should be easy to put in a pocket/purse/etc. without excessive amounts of strap to deal with. It would also provide more stability/security for the phone when getting those shots where your phone is "at risk", such as out a window, over water, etc. - BEST OF LUCK.

Thank you James for your reminder regarding the aluminum concept.
We are aware of this and will separate the phone from the aluminum case in the development version by the means of a non conducting material, this will prevent any contact between the phone and the case.
I really love and want to back this project. However, is there an option to include these one or both of these pledge options?
A) Receive one limited edition Kickstarter Edition+neck strap+ name listed on our site.
B) Receive one Serialized Aluminum Bezel Edition +neck strap+name listed on our site.
I would like either one of these options without having to receive large quantities of the regular versions in addition.
Just something to consider.
If the aluminium version is designed in such a way that the aluminum structure is in contact with the external antenna elements of the iPhone 4 it will effectively make the phone useless as it will shield the antennas and prevent the phone from working. Just a word of advice from someone in the mobile telecoms industry.
I have pledged and I would love the aluminium version - or matte black, if you consider making them :). Good luck!!!

this is one of the best items i've seen for the iphone 4, considering that i am a new-coming iphoneographer and this would be great for city use with the strap and case.
