What has the M Lamp accomplished during the last month?

• It managed to raise over 35K on Kickstarter so far
• It had a remarkable launch at the London Design Fair receiving accolades from the industry's top critics.
• It was written up in dozens of blogs all over the web including positive reviews on Fast Company, Design Milk, Core 77, Inhabitat, Conran, Walpaper, Leibal, Trendhunter, Unifiedspace and so on.
• It has received numerous requests from retailers to carry it in stores, and it has already been specified for hotel projects.

There has been a welcome change of pace over the past several days, which has quickly pushed us past the 50% mark with five days to go. We are still looking for pockets of support to get us to the finish line over the next few days. We have seen some new outside and retail interest, but we need more KS supporters!

Since the last update, the M Lamp was featured in Fast Company and has proliferated across design blogs and social media sites all over the web.  

We have also seen a lot of our early backers increase their pledge amounts, demonstrating the support we are getting from our core funders. Thank you guys!

We also added a Wired Version of the M Lamp to bolster support, which helped bring in some new backers and may actually serve as a useful product for the hospitality sector should we reach our goal.

Thank you everyone for your excellent suggestions.  We heard from a great many of you on the board and in private messages, and the response was clear.  

Offer a WIRED VERSION:  ..so we now offer a WIRED VERSION of the M Lamp for $95. While  people love the wireless capabilities, many would simply like to use it as a bedside reading lamp.

Bring back the original with Wood Caps: ...The demand for a the original with wood caps and  a Copper version was overwhelming, so we now offer those too in the WIRED version for $110.

Same iconic design and ultra-high quality finish without the wireless capabilities.  They will be powered by a replaceable 40W mini incandescent bulb and a dimer on the power cord. 

ONLY ON KICKSTARTER:  We want to get the M Lamp to as many people as possible, so the Wired M Lamp is our response to your excellent feedback...only available on Kickstarter.

We reached $20,000 on almost 110 backers!  

It is an important milestone, and while we are trailing; time, as I understand it, is the least important factor on Kickstarter.  You are the awesome backers that helped get us here. We CAN make it! 

The market loves it!

At the London Design festival, we had people clamor to buy the samples on display.  The press and design community also loved it. We have received multiple requests to carry the M Lamp in stores, AND we will soon see the M Lamp featured in the November issue of the most coveted design magazine in the word! (I am not sure I can mention the name just yet).

But all of that does not matter unless we can convince Kickstarters to get on board. 

We have seen people come in from the outside to get an M Lamp, but it is really the community of seasoned KS's that will drive the M Lamp over the finish line. There is no formula, but sharing your KS experience with us can really help.

We want to reach our goal, and we are open to suggestions.

Here are some suggestions we have received from you so far:

1 - A copper version (this requires some extra development work with a later delivery date).

2 -  A special wired version for KS at a lower price.

3 - A version in the likes of the original prototype with wood end caps.

4 - Rubber-coated version for more durable outdoor use.
