About this project
Fake Label Records was established in 2011 by long time friends and fellow bandmates in Tyrannosaurus grace, Tim Held and Justin Foss. It is a small label with a shoestring budget who aims to use all of it’s available resources to boost the profiles of independent acts from the Pacific Northwest. We have asked some of our favorite bands to contribute songs to a compilation CD that will be FREE! Our hope is to that each band on the compilation album will share it with their fans. This could potentially build a large network of showgoers for everyone involved!
IMPORTANT!!! We want to be clear that the artists included ARE not signed nor will they be signing to FLR with their inclusion on this compilation album. All songs on compilation are property of the artist NOT of FLR.

Connected as Timmy Held (677 friends)
The exuberant synth pop/alt rock group, Tyrannosaurus Grace, was started in mid 2009 when founding members and long time friends Tim Held and Justin Foss began working on music together via the internet. The two had played in multiple bands together growing up but began to pursue their own projects when they moved to different locations. At the time Tim was attending college in Michigan while Justin was going to college Oregon. Tim had been working on his solo project and asked Justin if he was interested in contributing to one of his tracks. Justin agreed and the finished track came out so well that they both decided to start a project together. After about 6 months of writing and recording together the two felt that the music was getting good enough that it was worthwhile for them to move to the same area so they could move the project forward. They moved back to their hometown in central Washington in early 2010 and immediately began work on their first full length album. As word of the project spread they were soon able to bring on some of the areas most talented musicians. The first to join was drummer Dave Hoffman who had played in a band with Tim for a brief period of time in 2005. Shortly thereafter while recording the song “Chemistry” Dave had suggested that they bring in his friend Lakyn Bury to sing on the chorus. By the end of the first recording session with Lakyn, the group was so impressed with her abilities that they asked her to join the project. The last member to come on board was bassist Jeff Gerrer who had been a longtime bandmate of Dave’s in another project.
Since the formation of the full group, T. grace has put out a full length album and a 7 song EP which they will soon be following up with their second full length due out in April 2012. They play shows throughout the northwest as they continue to grow their fan base.
