We need your help to make an awesome video to go with our song "Circles" telling the story of a schoolboy's crush on a teacher!
We want to make the hottest music video to go with our first single, "Circles"! Check out the song at:
The video is going to be about a schoolboy (a 10 year old version of me and the actual me) who has a crush on his teacher that he fantasizes about ("going in circles").
The money we raise is all going to production: lighting, cameras, studio time, transportation, possibly liability insurance (since we may be using an actual school that demands it) production, editing, SFX, etc. The only people getting paid (and probably very little) will be the actors being shot (exlcuding myself). If you are interested, I will be posting a casting call very soon.
Also, the director and producer is a great young photographer/videographer named Isaac Rosenthal who has worked a lot shooting for everything from Oil of Olay to Pierre Cardin.

Music Video Treatment for Artist Jonathan Aarons “CIRCLES”

The artist, Jonathan Arons, is a singer, songwriter and dancer. We want to showcase Jonʼs talents. The track is upbeat and we want to treat the video with clean and bright story telling visuals that are engaging and humorous.
Narrative: The song is about the longing to transcend the limitations of your age and body; the wish to express love and share it with the object of your desire and how overpowering that desire is. A young boy will be our protagonist, approximately 10 years old, and he has a crush on his schoolteacher. He fantasizes about spending time with her romantically and cant concentrate on school. His dream is a impossibility. The boyʼs constant yearning brings him to a state of mania. Jonathan is our narrator, and host, he blends into world of the boyʼs fantasy and our reality as he sings the song and tells the story.
Setting: Our setting is at a suburban elementary school. Itʼs a warm sunny day in spring at a beautiful school grounds with green grass and wind blowing in the trees. We enter the halls of the school in a continuous shot ending in the classroom where our protagonist seems to be daydreaming during a school lesson. As the lyrics begin, he is staring into space. The teacher is writing on the blackboard. Other classmates are goofing off and the boy is in his own world. His mind drifts and he imagines himself and the teacher alone in the classroom enjoying each others company laughing at jokes, walking along the street holding hands, playing dodge ball together, having dinners together. His fantasy becomes the reality of the video. The boy breaks into a dance routine in the classroom that impresses the teacher. In juxtaposition of this, Jonathan Arons, who represents the boy, in adult form, will also perform the song in the classroom scene, and will also engage in a dance routine that can be edited together with the boys. Some dance takes will be alone, and some takes will include the teacher or classmates in the background. Additional scenes take place in the playground where the protagonist separates himself from the rest of his classmates. The boy is set apart from his carefree classmates by his air of emotional torment. A gym instructor yells at the boy because he is not involved with the class, which is a scene that further implies the boyʼs complete and utter captivation with his fantasy world. There will be scenes where the boy fantasizes about spending time with the object of his desire in the park, walking on the street and other various locations TBA.
Locations: TBA but we are aiming to shoot at either one of two schools in either in Englewood New Jersey or Brooklyn, NY. Additional scenes take place on suburban streets, playground, and studio. Pace: The track is upbeat with a fast pace so we will shoot at a slower frame rate to create a feeling of mystery to shots that involve the protagonist in reality. For his fantasies, dance sequences, and Jonathan performing the video will be shot in real time. Which makes the fantasy more real then the real world, because most of the real world will be shot in a slower frame rate. Color/Tone: We are shooting in color and we aim to have a Sun lit feeling with vivid color saturation. We are shooting on Canon 5D mark III and mark II and a 7D. We may shoot some of the time with the Red Epic.
It's going to be a huge project but it's totally doable. We just need a little help from our friends, you! :)
