We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on August 3, 2012.

OMG! I saw the first rough cut last night.

Update #4 · Jul 21, 2012 · 3 comments

First thanks to the new supporters. We are well on our way to our first TV schedule for "Grandma".  The first buy will be for $10,000. That means we need to hit $15,000 total before Aug. 3. That should be very doable.

Walter sent me about eight minutes of our show in a rough 1st edit for timing. Heavy duty shocking presentation. Just what I wanted in order to wake up the mainstream. Unvarnished truth! Some great stuff from Dr Andrew Weil, Irv Rosenfeld and a host of others.

Yesterday a rep from a major broadcast network contacted me about Grandma. They are interested in airing her. They are dying to get a peek. We may have a "Sizzle" reel to show them next week.

Please get everyone you know to kick in. I want this to be the last campaign needed to end the war on the most important plant on our planet.  Believe me, Grandma can get this done.

Warmest Regards

Robert Platshorn

Fill the War Chest!

Update #3 · Jul 14, 2012 · comment

Thanks to the 65 backers who helped us fill our goal of $5,000 to complete production of "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?". You did it in only 9 days. Last night, at ten pm, just as I was about to turn off my computer, Cheeba Chews, The delicious Chocolate hash infused medication treat, kicked in $1,000 to put us over our production goal. Along with the other $1,000 backers, they will be listed in the show credits as sponsors and be seen by millions. The show will begin airing in the fall.

Fill the War Chest! The War Against Cannabis/Hemp Prohibition!

The Kickstarter campaign has 20 more days to run. At this second we are we are $288.00 over our production needs. That $288.00 will buy one airing in a medium size market or two airings in a small TV market. Get the idea? Each backer from now on, can help us reach  thousands  more  with the truth about cannabis. That adds up quickly to millions of Americans actively demanding safe, legal access and an end to the madness of prohibition. Be a part of real cannabis law reform. Help me make history! Kick it up!

Warmest Regards to All

Bobby Tuna

You Can Be an Executive Producer of "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?"

Update #2 · Jul 8, 2012 · comment

Ever wonder what an Executive Producer does? He or she provides the means to produce the show. Even before we went up on Kickstarter, most of this TV show was made and paid for by Jeff Dosh of Aqua Lab Technologies. They have supported The Silver Tour from it's inception. They will head the credits as an Executive Producer. You can join Aqua Lab as an Executive Producer with a $5,000 pledge. You and/.or your company name and logo will be seen by millions of Americans as "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?" is aired hundreds of times around and across the country. $5,000 will pay for one or even two airings on a national network or as many as 50 airings regionally.

Sponsors and their logos will also be listed prominently in the credits. We now have two $1,000 dollar Sponsors. Bruce Perlowin of Hemp Inc is a long time supporter and Kathy Curley Piotrowski a long time advocate. A thousand dollars could air the show regionally as many as ten times and reach a hundred thousand viewers with the truth about cannabis/hemp and the real reason why it is still prohibited.

The Executive Producers and Sponsors will all receive one of Irv Rosenfeld's federal government Medical Marijuana delivery cans pictured below.  These are rare prized collector's items and have sold for as much as $5,000 at auction.

$200 dollars can pay for one airing in a medium or large TV market area.

$100 dollars can pay for an airing in a small or medium TV market.

$5, $25, and $50. 00 pledges add up to lots of airings for "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?"

Every Contribution is Very Important!  In Just Four Days We are now at over 3/5ths of our first goal of $5,000. This 5k will complete production.

All funds in excess of $5,000 will be used to air the show over and over till the we reach every American and free the weed.

  • Thank you so much everyone! Only 33 contributors have gotten us this far. You are all now an important part of the end of cannabis prohibition. Meet them on the Backers page and join them by sending in your pledge.

International Recognition

Update #1 · Jul 7, 2012 · 2 comments

Thanks to everyone who has made our first three days on Kickstarter so successful. We are almost 40% funded towards the $5,000 goal to finish  our show. Hopefully, with you support and the support of your friends, we will double or triple our goal and have funds to buy our first saturation campaign. We can run "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?" on good networks, up to a hundred times in most states for about $25,000. That's not much to reach and educate millions.

The Silver Tour has not only changed the face of American activism by bringing seniors out of the closet and into the conversation, we are doing the same in countries around the world.  The wonderful stories from CNN Money, NewsWeek's Daily Beast, and The Wall St Journal were seen everywhere. We even made the news in Paris ÉTATS-UNIS • Un petit joint, Mamie, ça fait du bien ! | Courrier international
This Sunday (tomorrow) Australia's #1 TV show, Prime Time TV7, will feature our story and a segment I helped to produce about seniors and medical marijuana.

Channel 7 Australia at 6.30pm Sydney time. You can watch it live at www.sundaynight.com.au
Or the program will be posted the next day for viewing… there’s a bit on board the boat and some at the silver tour meeting."

Thanks again. The Silver Tour on TV "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?" will bring cannabis/hemp into the sunshine and end it's irrational prohibition. Tell your friends it's time to join us and finish the job.

Regards

Founder, The Silver Tour
