Yes, we are making a $10,000 feature film that is shot on the iPhone!

Along the lines of other great character driven, low fidelity classics such as The Celebration, Kids, the recent End of Watch, and coupled with the characteristics of a well crafted psychological thriller, Uneasy Lies the Mind will flourish in our attempt to create something beautiful out of truly nothing.

The film is about a man whose jealousy, insecurities, and fears all come to a boiling point during a couple's weekend retreat with a group of close friends. Set within a blizzarding mountain mansion, the world starts to slowly deteriorate around him and he must fight to distinguish what is real and what is imagined.

While the "couples weekend retreat in the woods turned sour" story has been done a million times before, we believe our fresh aesthetic approach, original characters, razor sharp dialogue, and artful storytelling will put our film into an entirely different category.

What Will Your Money Go Towards?

With the advent of low cost digital technology, a well written script, a talented cast, and a free shooting location in Mammoth Lakes, CA, we believe $10,000 will go a LONG way. 

We need money for three things:

• Production Sound Mixer
• Hair and Makeup Artist
• Food for cast and crew

Everything else we will get for free or do ourselves. 

We know this sounds like an impossible idea to pull off, but we have full faith that this is going to turn out unlike anything you've ever seen before.  The film was written by a painter, so it naturally fits into the abstract world we've created.  It is intended to be viewed from a different perspective, and it definitely doesn't require chase scenes, a thick sound palette, or many of the other expensive tools and filmmaking tricks that traditional Hollywood movies have.   

Why We Need Your Help

In the grand scheme of things, $10,000 is not that much money.  For a group of young artists, however, that money is the difference between getting a project off the ground versus it just living it's life as a script that collects coffee stains all day. 

This is the third film I've produced, and it doesn't matter how much I've grown as an artist and businessman.  Getting a film off the ground, even for veteran filmmakers, is an exceptionally hard thing to do.  Instead of wallowing in years of development and strung out financial promises, we decided to create a project that doesn't need that much money to succeed.
