I came across what looks like a worthy project that still needs funding, and I think it will interest some of you guys. Looks like it will be a beautifully shot film, but requires funds to continue. Take a look:

Well the "molecules of madness" kickstarter flopped due to promised mainstream media support bailing.

Tony Wright has a new book project on indiegogo aimed at getting a new version of Left In The Dark out, as well as a more accessible mainstream book on the topic, with help of Andrew Crofts.

      Heres the project: http://igg.me/p/52225…

Through the end of September, Erowid.org is running a fundraising drive, attempting to get 777 discrete donations. Just last month, Erowid provided reliable information on psychoactives to 2.3 million unique visitors. Although this non-profit organization is very (IMO) non-aggressive with their pledge drives, this is the first time where it appears as though a fundraising goal might not be reached. Seriously? Nearly two-and-a-half million people used the site last month, and we can't get 777 (or more!) to donate a few bucks? Of course that is ludicrous! Please visit http://www.erowid.org to see how you can help. Thanks! -- Jon Hanna

Joanna Harcourt Smith, former lover, fellow outlaw, and companion of Timothy Leary during the darkest days of his career, has decided that now is the time to share her story, and has launched a Kickstarter stie to get things rolling. Here is the URL: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1223525116/tripping-the-bardo-with-timothy-leary

Her story should be of interest to many in our community. I have already made a modest pledge and urge others to support this worthy project, if you are able..

Speaking of worthy Kickstarter projects, of interest to our community, I'd like to recommend Oliver Hockenhull's movie project, Neurons to Nirvana. Oliver is an extremely talented film maker, and this project is a labor of love. It's the best cinematic documentary on the current cutting edge of psychedelic research. It's worthy of your support if you can manage it:

      Hello everyone!

Please check out the 'molecule of madness' project on kickstarter and help get that underway!! I'm sure this crowd will find it VERY interesting. Its a documentary being made on the theory presented by Tony Wright in his book -Left In The Dark, which Dennis was kind enough to write a brilliant forward for (which you can read on the website), and has talked about in one of the audio-updates posted here. So many comments here, all good! I very much appreciate your support for this project, and it seems clear that it's eagerly awaited!
A couple of housekeeping matters. I've made a small database of all backers from the Kickstarter data. So if you have issues, like you pledged for a different incentive level but were not credited, your Amazonpayments.com payment did not go through, or you are having problems with getting a pass to the Evolver Intensives webinars, let me know with a message (not a comment!) on this site or my Facebook site, and I'll do my best to get it straightened out.

Touchdown e-mail with Jennifer was apologetic and sincere for the mix-up. Replay of video brightens my illusory egoic half-gloom about missing something important like personal pictures! and Dennis sounds like he's ready to write and drink Mai Tais so, at the end of the day........SMIIIILLES EVERYONE, SMIILLES!! Thanks Jen! and of course you too Dennis!

Evolver Intensives added an additional 30 spots for Dennis' webinar as part of a KickStarter incentive. I am sure some things got mixed up and it was an accident that some people got forgotten. Do not worry - the archive is a complete rip of the WebEX conference, which will include everything that participants saw. Video, audio, pictures, chat stream etc.

Well I never got anything from Evolver, I got an email saying to respond via email to the ghost Jennifer (jennifer@evolver.net) I have sent many emails to this address and never any reply, nothing. I put multiple diff. tags in the subject even copied and pasted what Dennis said to put in there nothing-I believe it has been 4-5 days since I first sent out a reply and still nothing-I emailed her twice yesterday, nothing. We will see how this goes but I also know of at least two others in the same boat-lame. It is nice to know that personal pics were shown, ohh since there is only an audio archive I guess I missed out on that as well. Nice.

There was an email from Evolver Intensives the same day of the talk that gave a link to access the talk. I got on at the last minute and enjoyed the entire conference - except my wi-fi crapped out at the very last minute. All of the conferences will be archived. There were many rare and special pictures from Dennis' personal archive on display. Daniel Pinchbeck talked a great deal about Jose Arguelles and positive psychic abilities to bring to the forefront to promote a transformation in consciousness that can ride the acceleration process that reaches midnight, so to speak, in 2012. There was a lot of discussion about TimeWave Zero as well, which Dennis has admitted to not putting too much stock in. Ralph Abraham will no longer be able to join the Evolver webinar and may be replaced by a mathematician that is also somewhat skeptical about TW0. Perhaps Peter Meyer could be asked to participate as well - for a healthy and informative debate or discussion...

Well, the success of this funding project is certainly one of the more exciting developments in the area of psychedelic studies in many years. The wild and wooly meanderings of the Mckenna brothers truly opened up not only my intellectual world as a young man, but eventually opened my eyes to the planes of the imaginal/cognitive-spiritual-visionary imagination. To this day, I still do not believe that the psychedelic community has truly begun to contend with these higher domains in any sort of rigorous or truly objective way. The ideas subsequent to the experiment at La Chorrera--though more mythopoetic than scientific--are unique in their perspective on this 'invisible landscape,' and I greatly look forward to the insight afforded by Dennis' forthcoming book.

Couple of other things (I wanted to post the message below before I screwed up and lost it). But a few housekeeping items. I will post a new, detailed update on this site as soon as I get home and rest a little, and get my head around what we've actually done here! As the project continues, this site will remain operational (I think) and I'll continue to use it and the project site on Facebook to keep folks in the loop and informed about my progress (or lack of same, but hopefully that won't happen). Look for more updates in a couple of days!

And, the goal has been met, 5 days ahead of the deadline, thanks to YOU! The incentives that are listed are still available until the funding window closes on Monday, and if they are of interest, far be it for me to discourage anyone from making a pledge. The passes to the Evolver Intensives webinars may appeal to some and there are still some available (although to be honest you might save money by registering directly at the site:http://evolverintensives.com/upcoming/psychedelic-adventures-at-the-edge-of-the-abyss.html).
The first one starts Sunday and I hope to see some of you there. At the $90 level are some incentives that have some appeal; the book + the Journey Through the Spheres CD, or alternatively, the book + autographed copies of the wonderful documentary DVDs, Richard Meech's Vine of the Souls and Mitch Schultze's movie, DMT: the Spirit Molecule. Both of these are still available at the $90 pledge level so if you are interested, feel free to go ahead and pledge and I'll be sure you get those promised items. Same goes pretty much for any of the other incentives, except for Shamanic Investigations. That goes to the anonymous backer who stepped up and pledged 10 K and put this thing over the top! You know who you are...and a very special thanks to you!
OK, that's it for now! Thanks again to all, and to all, a good night.

well if you are reading this you know that the goal was reached and exceeded within the last 24 hours. I am amazed, delighted, humbled, and ecstatic! It is YOUR support and enthusiasm that has made this possible. It is YOU, it is US as a community, that has created this opportunity. I am grateful to everyone who backed this project, not only with their hard-earned cash, but with their LOVE and willingness to spread the word. I've learned so much about the community of like-minded souls who are out there. You are beautiful, kind people, and I will do my very best to meet your expectations and justify the confidence you have shown in me and in the idea for this project. Thank you so much!
