Bubble Lawn is a multi-genera concept album with the best 12 songs I've written in the past 20 years.

It's time to rock.  Although I've written roughly 200 songs in the past 25 years, I never had much ambition to doing anything professionally with them until now. This year I turned 50, and after a lifetime of working to pay the bills, I finally have had the chance to put out the studio album I've dreamed about doing my whole life.  For the past year and half, my producer and I have collaborated after work and on weekends to put out the finest studio album we could create without the benefit of an actual studio.  So, after investing in the best microphones we could afford and using the latest recording software, we've put together an album of 12 songs that transcends my wildest expectations.

So, naturally, I think it's pretty good, but since I'm just an obscure hillbilly (with a Ph.D in English) from Southeast Ohio with no connections in the music industry and no idea how to market this album, I'm coming to you folks at Kickstater to give perfect strangers a chance to listen to this CD and decide for yourselves whether the music is any good or not. Here's the deal then: kick in at least $8 to cover my costs in printing up your CD and mailing it to you, and you can feel good about making some aging hippie's rock and roll dreams come true.  And who knows, perhaps you may just discover the greatest indy rock album of all times (hey, it could happen).  Even if this album doesn't rock your world, you've certainly thrown money at lesser things.

What kind of music is it?  It's old-school rock meets 21st Century mixing.  My producer (who happens to be the band director at the high school where I teach English) is a musical genius who has miraculously made my songs sound like the best classic rock, folk, country, and blues you remember from the 60's, 70's and 80's.  If you really want to know what it sounds like, Google my name and you'll find the youtube videos of the three singles I've put up from this album ("Bubble Lawn," "Who's Using Who," and "Rain").  Resist the urge to watch the Dinosaur Song video, it's a children's song I released years ago for my kids and it's not on the Bubble Lawn album (although it is on iTunes if you really want to waste your money).

A copy of Bubble Lawn on CD mailed to you directly from my home in the middle of obscurity. If you are from outside the US, perhaps you may want to kick in a little more to cover my shipping, but if you don't, I'll send it to you anyway even if I lose money on the shipping because rock and roll isn't about making money, dude, it's about sticking it to The Man or something; whatever, it's not about making money, that's for sure.
