It's really happening . . . my first play, Glory on High will not only be staged this November at the Elephant Theater in Hollywood, but the fantastic independent production company Frantic Lounge Films will film the production and submit it to festivals early next year as a comedy short. I can't tell you what a dream come true this is!

We'll have an invited dress rehearsal, with two performances in front of a live audience.  The performances will be filmed with three cameras a la sitcom. Then footage from all three will be edited together into a comedy short that's not like anything else out there, really.

Being Co-Executive Producer with Andy is exhilarating--and it's taught me a lot about what goes into a project like this.  Even with the talented people we've got working with us, we still can't do it alone.  That's where Kickstarter comes in.

We still have to cover the remaining balance on the theater, the insurance, rehearsal space, printing for the playbill, and props, not to mention the hidden expenses that always come up for creating a film, such as submission fees to film festivals, DVD production, etc. We'll also be producing a series of interviews of the members of Frantic Lounge Films as part of the FLF screening that will be shown before each performance.

Unfortunately, if we don't meet our goal amount, we don't get any of the pledged donations, so remember--yours could be the contribution that puts us over the top!
