Melody and the Old Sock is the first film from Chicago-based Atomic Puppy Studios.
Thank you to Roving Eye Photo
Thanks, Jenn. You were around when it was just a little spark. Your support really means a lot to me :)
What isn't in the promo video is all of the commitment that went into developing the script itself. Melody and Old Sock have been with Scott for a long time, and it was a labor of great artistic genius to bring them to life. It is so exciting to know these amazing characters will soon be introduced to others as well!
Thanks, Kristina! And thanks for the wonderful compliment, John! Any promoting you can do will mean the world to us. Hit us up at melodymovie@atomicpuppystudios.com for any supplemental materials and info we can give you!
This is the most promising project I have seen on Kickstarter. I will be promoting it all over.
I know it's not much but I hope it helps! Get em guys!
We have something along those lines in the works for our first official trailer. Also, Monica, our FANTASTIC puppeteer, has made an Old Sock mockumentary that I can't wait to check out.
Looks like you have awesome team, K. Old Sock talks, right? It'd be fun to see Old Sock in a video by himself talking about the movie and asking for donations. You guys are already 2k funded in 5 days. I can't wait to see the end product. Congrats!:)
Hey David, check out the video we did for cinefile.com -- put some faces to some of the names here, AND check out more footage and hear us chat about the amazing crew we've got.
You can feel the enthusiasm in the room!

David, i am going to have to defer to our talented writer and director and his vision for the sock. He has a great deal of imagination. Again our amazing crew made it happen. We are going to rock it! Cant believe the support we are getting! I am definetly going to support more projects myself on kickstarter. We are hitting everybody we know! Sundance here we come! If they accept us. Puppets rock! Glowing eyes rock! Backing our project rocks!
What up, David? Thanks for hopping aboard! Your comments are greatly appreciated, and your generous offer to promote our little passion project through your social networking outlets is really wonderful! If you'd like to be further involved in promotion (score!), please drop us a line at melodymovie@atomicpuppystudios.com, and we'll get right back to you; Kickstarter doesn't give us your email info until we've hit our target date. Thanks again David, you're one of the good ones!
Hey, Terry! Yeah, it'd be nice if we didn't have to put the success of our dreams on whether or not we can raise the funds. It's scary. I hope you hit that 10k goal triumphantly! I believe you guys will surpass your goal if the team promotes like crazy and consistently. The quality of your work is clear. The idea is unique. And you have a sock puppet. Everybody loves puppets, period. Especially creepy little red ones with glowing eyes, lol. That's awesome.
I'll promote you guys on my twitter and facebook as much as I can. If there's any other way I can help, let me know. Good luck!
Thanks David! We will do our best. We have an amazing crew in Chicago and very dedicated to the arts. Thanks for backing. We tried our best to fund it ourselves, but came to the conclusion we need help!
You guys seem like a fun buch of people. That footage you have looks great! Very high quality! Great job! If you guys build some relationships on Twitter, that can really help you get a following as well, I'm learning. That would definitely help with your funding. Good luck, keep the hustle!!!
