Kickstarter

Wow....TIME FLIES. Here we are, 9 days left on Kickstarter, 79% funded (THANK YOU, THANK YOU!) with two days left of instrumental tracking before the final push to record all of the vocals in one week.  

These long recording days (and late nights and early mornings) are beginning to take me back in time - back to the days when I slaved away over papers and crammed my head full of knowledge before tests. I'm awfully groggy as I prepare the charts and arrangements for today's recording session, but I must admit I am simultaneously breathless with anticipation. 

The reason for my excitement is quite simple. Today is DOUG WIESELMAN day. For those of you who don't know Doug, you should probably try to make his acquaintance sometime soon. At least musically.  Look him up! He's done some truly amazing things. I have asked him to bring a clarinet, a bass clarinet, and a baritone sax. Wonderful things are going to happen...I can feel it in my tummy already. Or maybe that's just my sleepy stomach nagging at me for breakfast. No, no breakfast just yet. More parts to write out. You must be patient, appetite!  I am a zen music master. I have hunger only for pitches, rhythms, dynamics, articulation, and timbre. I quickly glance at what I have just written and I see that I am rambling. I think sleep-deprivation does strange things to one's mind.

Alright. ENOUGH OF THIS! Back to work. See you all on the other side! 9 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!! Quick!
