A.T.L. Archive - Limited run of Hand Made Custom Jeans to kick start a boutique Jeans line.

THE FINAL PUSH!

24 hours to go to make this all happen.  Thanks to everyone that has contributed.  Time to get more people involved that need to get in this book...

Read my story below!

Greetings from Brooklyn.  My name is Aaron Thomas Linnen.  Late last year while shopping for jeans I got frustrated and went home and ordered a sewing machine.  I taught myself how to measure people up, make patterns, and sew.  Not saying this was easy at all but I am well on my way.  After wearing jeans I had made, friends and others around the neighborhood began to notice and I started making pairs for them.  Whenever I need a new pair for myself or a friend, I simply pull the pattern off the shelf and sew away. What I am looking at for this project is to make a run of my favorite cut, have em graded for sizes, and crank em out based on demand.

Below I am modeling a pair, while making more....

Since I had no clue what I was doing when I began this process, I didn't invest originally in the correct equipment.  I now have a bunch of people that want jeans from me, and its time to invest in proper machines.  This includes industrial machines such as a couple single needle machines, an overlock, a chain stitch, and miscellaneous equipment.  The $12,500 will cover those and what I need as far as fabric to complete a funded project, and get moving on business development and marketing.

As things move along I have plenty of ideas for growth, but this is what I need to get started.  I have focused mainly on guys jeans, but am working on a couple right now for the ladies, so don't be shy.  I plan to use high quality denim from the U.S.A. Have found some great places to get selvage denim here in the states as well.

All jeans will be numbered to commemorate this project.

Here is a shot of the pair I made in this video.  Another satisfied friend.
