The goal of Between the Lines is to honor the history of baseball by telling the stories in an original, narrative-driven video series.
Between the Lines: A Biography of Baseball
Baseball has existed as a Microcosm of the trials, tribulations and triumphs of the American struggle. As the landscape of modern America was formed, so was its most beloved sport. But somewhere along the way, the epic tales of legends past have been lost to a new generation of fans.
“Between the Lines” is a project designed to celebrate the great history of Baseball, by honoring the great tales that inspired us to call it our national pastime.
We'll tell the stories of the heroes of the game as well as the also-rans, and how they are cemented as a part of Americana in a series that focuses on one team or personality per episode. We are guided on this tour by our own Alex Cartwright, a nod to the Johnny Appleseed of baseball, as he goes to different locales to share the great stories of America’s game.
In our pilot episode "The Gashouse Gang" we'll Meet Dizzy Dean and Frankie Frisch's 1934 Cardinals and join them on their bumpy ride to try to capture an unlikely World Series championship.
Your donations will go to the production costs of this pilot. The equipment rental, food for cast and crew, location costs, costumes will all be covered by your generous funding. And the more we achieve through this funding, the better the final product will look and sound.

We'll be making a very serious push to have Between the Lines shot and edited for release in March of 2014. This will require us to work in a very rigorous schedule. We have assembled a team worthy of the challenge. Camera, sound and lighting are all on board. The script is complete and the schedule is being polished up. As soon as we have funding we will begin casting and rehearsing. We plan to begin initial shooting before the end of 2012.
There will be many challenges in making this film. However, the creative team is fully prepared to tackle any challenges that may arise.
