About the Project
Staring up at the stars has always been one of my favorite activities. There is something uniquely comforting knowing that the same stars I was looking at up at have been there for millions of years. It's all about putting things back in perspective, you know?
I set out to try to find a way to capture the beauty and timelessness of the stars and help people commemorate the dates and places that mean the most to them.
How it works
These pendants represent the stars directly overhead in any location on the globe, for any date in history. The star charts are generated and then translated into a series of hand drilled holes that represent the stars. The large holes represent the brightest stars (usually 4 or 5 per pendant) and the small holes represent the dimmer stars (usually 10-15 per pendant). The result is a beautiful representation of the skies for a specific date and location!
The pendants are approximately 1" in diameter and are slightly domed inward, and then finished by hand to create a brushed metal luster. Each is unique and created especially for you.
What I'm funding
If I'm successful, the Kickstarter funding will go towards helping me purchase supplies and additional finishing tools to launch my custom star chart jewelry on a wider scale. I am also hoping to expand the line into cuff bracelets, linear pendants, and earrings. And in a perfect world, this project will be so wildly successful that I will be able to create a website and storefront!

I would be happy to ship pendants to international customers, I just as that you please add $10 for shipping. You will notice that most of the reward levels have this information listed. Those that don't (Mira Level, Arcturus Level, and Alpha Centauri Level) already had backers when I realized my mistake, and therefore I couldn't update the reward description.
