A comedy about how tragic real life can be.
This is a character driven story about two people who are both going through life-changing events. The film opens with Jameson learning that his girlfriend of three years has been cheating on him, simultaneous with Emily learning that she has a very rare, very serious heart condition. The two of them try to cope with this news in very different ways, letting their lives unravel and then trying to pick up the pieces again. The script is beautifully crafted and wonderfully written, and brings an unexpected layer of comedy to such otherwise difficult situations.
We are a group of highly motivated individuals, all pursuing careers in the film industry. Everyone who is participating is doing it for the sheer love of movie making. The production company, Awesome Premise Productions, has worked on several other passion pieces, but this is our first feature, and we are able to take everything we've learned from our other projects and use that to help us make this the absolute best film we can make. But we can't do it without you, and this is the best way to help our team!
Movies take money, that's just the sad truth of the matter. And because we want to make this the best possible movie, it's going to take more money than we have. In addition to using kickstarter, we are also throwing fundraising events, and many of us involved in the film are contributing significantly as well, but we can't do it without you. Kickstarter is an easy and fun way to donate money to the project.
Your money will go towards paying for the equipment (camera, lighting, sound, etc.), paying for location rentals, and submitting our film to festivals once it is completed.
What your money will NOT be going towards is our pockets! Every dollar donated will be going directly to the production of the film.

Let's be honest,
The idea of making a movie seems overwhelming, yet there's a certain magic to it. The cameras, the sets, the bells and whistles that go into every moment, from pre-production to the final completed product. But unfortunately, all of those 'magical' moments along the way are coupled with an onslaught of 'real' moments. Moments like finally reaching a budget, like finishing the right number of pages in a shooting day, like staying on schedule. Every little bit of magic comes with a whole lot of reality. And the reality is, making a movie is very difficult.
The best and most successful way to overcome these 'real' moments is with passion. All of us involved in this project have had our fair share of working through the sometimes painstaking process of filmmaking because we absolutely love it. The passion we have for our creative work greatly outweighs any obstacle that may come our way. As we've said in our video, we're going to get this done, because we love this movie, this script, these characters, and this project.
Yes, we have the talents necessary to make something wonderful, and yes we have the drive to do it. But most importantly, we have a massive, humungous love for filmmaking, and more specifically, Fishbowl.
And as always, we appreciate any help you can provide!
Fishbowl will be a SAG-AFTRA union project.
