Opera singer-turned-music director DeReau K. Farrar has enjoyed a very rich life of diverse music. From the theater, to the concert hall, to the church, to everyday pedestrian venues like parks, restaurants, bars, and streets, Farrar rarely ever turns down an opportunity for some good music-making!
Organizations Farrar has recently been involved with include Los Angeles Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers of Los Angeles, The Verdi Chorus, University of California - Los Angeles, California Polytechnic State University - Pomona, Pasadena City College, Selah Gospel Choir, The RED Stamp (Los Angeles), Epic Megalopolis Productions (Los Angeles), and Milestone Theatre Company (Los Angeles). He has performed at such venues as Hollywood Bowl, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Chicago Opera Theater, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Munich National Theater, Pasadena Playhouse, The Shrine Auditorium, UrbanStages (New York), Lyric Theater (Los Angeles), Lyric Hyperion Theater (Los Angeles), and Secret Rose Theater (Los Angeles).
