About this project
D AUGMENTED is an exciting departure from what has become the recent standard in choral singing. Using what we have come to term "full-figured voices", we will convey a level of choral music's humanity that is not often experienced.
The success of this campaign will most immediately allow us to employ 24 of Southern California's finest professional singing musicians for a spring 2012 presentation of music set to the poetry of e.e. cummings.
Getting personal...
In the past decade, I have worked with a number of various choral groups and performance arts organizations, learning the ins and outs of each, and gaining volumes of invaluable experience - all in great anticipation of the day it would be time for me to start my very own choir. That time has come and I am ready! Please consider being a part of the realization of my dream!

Opera singer-turned-music director DeReau K. Farrar has enjoyed a very rich life of diverse music. From the theater, to the concert hall, to the church, to everyday pedestrian venues like parks, restaurants, bars, and streets, Farrar rarely ever turns down an opportunity for some good music-making!
Organizations Farrar has recently been involved with include Los Angeles Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers of Los Angeles, The Verdi Chorus, University of California - Los Angeles, California Polytechnic State University - Pomona, Pasadena City College, Selah Gospel Choir, The RED Stamp (Los Angeles), Epic Megalopolis Productions (Los Angeles), and Milestone Theatre Company (Los Angeles). He has performed at such venues as Hollywood Bowl, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Chicago Opera Theater, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Munich National Theater, Pasadena Playhouse, The Shrine Auditorium, UrbanStages (New York), Lyric Theater (Los Angeles), Lyric Hyperion Theater (Los Angeles), and Secret Rose Theater (Los Angeles).
