A major threat to our project is our selected manufacturer and the timing of this project as they produce parts for Boeing. If they are back-logged, we will utilize 2 other local manufacturers and if they are unavailable, we have several throughout the U.S. that can also deliver with an equal lead time. Our immediate funding source is also able to adjust to fit our needs if the alternative manufacturers costs change upward.
Other issues include sourcing in which we’ve been guaranteed availability of hardware needed, but we’ve identified our alternative sources with slightly longer lead times. As well, our supplier of tripods would need to know our estimated number of units needed before the holidays, so we will order based on the trajectory of pledges.

The finished product will be made of rubberized plastic for a non-slip grip and for added flexibility beyond the 69mm size limit mentioned above.

We originally 3D-printed our prototypes through www.Ponoko.com and created silicon molds. Later we bought our own 3D printer right here on Kickstarter (www.printrbot.com).
