About this project
Production, Marketing and distribution of Men's formal wear line, and the completion of a 28"x 16" proposed work site.
I am seeking funds to help complete my new line of men's formal wear. The line comprises of men's tuxedo shirt and vest called "Alite" The word Alite means "Top of the line" or "First class" The line is very dear to me, and a dream come through because it is a concept I have being working on for years, and I believe if properly marketed and presented, it will revolutionize men's formal wear industry as we know it. For a long time men's formal wear has remain dormant until now.
The shirt is a Mandarin style with rich hand design, and hand tailored embroidery embellishment on the collar and cuffs areas, and on the bodice area of the vest. The line is an alternative for those tired of the same old boring traditional style tuxedo ensemble. With the Alite shirt and vest all you need to do is just snap it and go! No necktie, cufflinks or cummerbund needed. You save money on accessories you do not need.
My wish is to have the line available in stores across the country. As you can see in the pictures there is nothing like it presently in the market. The line broad appeal and versatility makes it a must have.
My story:
I was already working on my new line, and project, when without notice or warning I received the shock of my life. Bank of America and Chase banks I have being doing business with for over 30 years combined, drastically cut my line of credit to bare minimum ($3,500.00 combined) Both cards had about $51,000.00 line of credit combined. Amount I have being saving for that purpose. You can imagine the disbelief and shock! My dreams shattered. I said to myself why me, why now.
The reasons the banks gave me for the drastic action was because of the state of the economy, and new government regulations. Mind you at the time of this action, my cards were NEVER in default, as a matter of fact one of the cards (Bank of America) had a credit balance on it!
All attempts and appeal to the banks to reinstate the line of credit or something enough to complete my projects was denied. Though disappointed, but was evermore motivated to get through the temporary setback.
With your help my dreams of not only bringing this product line to main stream/market will be realized, but more importantly my success will serve as an inspiration to young and aspiring Africa American designers out there.

How kick starter works:
If you're new to Kick-starter, this is how it works; your credit card is only charged if and when i reach my goal. If I do not reach my fund goal of minimum $14,500.00 for the project by the deadline, I will lose ALL the money that has been raised or pledged! I set the amount at the least possible amount to fund the projects, the actual estimate for both projects is about $28,500.00. However, the more funds I raise the better in completing the projects to my satisfaction and wish.
Reward Process.
For those that will be receiving shirts and vests your reward will be processed once projects are funded.
While construction is in progress we will request for your measurements, and production of your reward will commence as soon as the work area is ready for use. I will personally keep you posted on the progress of your reward via email.
My sincere appreciation for your generosity, and pray you will be greatly rewarded.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any question.
Thanks.
