My name is James Israelson. I grew up watching adventure films such as Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Tomb Raider, and others. To me there is nothing like a great adventure story, but it seems like good adventure stories are few and far between.
This is why I created The Adventures of Joe and Nancy.
The series stars two New York City reporters. The less than enthusiastic anti-hero, Joe, who just wants to go one day without bumping into a monster or a mad scientist bent on world domination and the level headed but determined, Nancy, who just wants Joe to stop complaining.
The Adventures of Joe and Nancy VOL. 1 is comprised of the first five issues of the web comic(we are currently working on issue #2) which can be found here.
- Issue #1: Joe and Nancy encounter a mall Santa that turns into a ferocious werewolf.
- Issue #2: Joe and Nancy must stop a 10 story tall robot bent on destroying the city.
- Issues #3-4: Is a two part story dealing with Nancy finding true love...with a man who may or may not be an evil android.
- Issue #5: In the last issue of volume one, find out how all of these stories are related as Joe and Nancy face their ultimate challenge.
The webcomic itself is in black and white, but as you can see I am having the pages colored and prepared for printing.
The Adventures of Joe and Nancy Volume 1 will be a full color 120-page book.
The two artists for the book are amazing, first there is Marcelo Salaza he penciled and inked the entire first issue (which can be found on the web comic site) and he did an incredible job:

All in all this is a fantastic family friendly adventure series that is full of action, adventure, comedy, drama, laughs, romance, and it has something for just about everyone.
