Lover's Boots is going to be an amazing album about all aspects of going through love and loss. All true stories I've lived through.
I did the math and figured out that the least amount of money I would need to make this album is $2,000. If I fall even a penny short of this pledge goal, I don't get ANY of the money. (Don't worry, NO ONE ELSE gets your money, you KEEP what you pledged). But, if I make more than the goal, I get to keep it all, and put it into making the album better and better. The more pledged, the more studio time I get, the better musicians to play on the album I get, etc. I want to give you guys the best music I can! And I get to give you a bunch of other cool stuff along with the album to make this a fun experience for everyone!
Because of Kickstarter.com, and YOU, I finally have the chance to make a professional quality full length album! This was rarely an option to any unsigned artist with low-income/high student loan debt person before! I've dreamed of making a real album for the last 17 years, where I could finally present and share my songs the way I really hear them in my head, instead of just limiting my expressions to guitar and voice alone.
Not only that, but I have a chance for another dream of 17 years to come true: Glen Graham, my favorite drummer, most well known for his time with Blind Melon,(my all time favorite band) has agreed to play on a few tracks on my album. But this can't happen if I don't have an album for him to play on :(
