Please scroll down for a look at the rules poster ($5 reward) and a closer look at the page samples that were briefly shown in the video.
The basic but compelling concept for the book is to pair the
children's hand-written rules strips with issue related postcards that
kids created when urged to express themselves artistically about their parents divorce.
The money you pledge will be used for:
• Hiring a talented illustrator to create child-friendly pages that won't clash or distract from the original kids art that will be incorporated into each page (as shown in my simplistic sample pages).
• The printing of the first 1,000 copies of the finished book.
• A booth at the 2012 Tucson Festival of Books this upcoming March.
• Paying the fees associated with getting funded through kickstarter.
• Fulfilling the rewards.
Thanks for looking!!

I come from a 2-parent family and can't imagine what it must be like to suddenly have less access to one parent, let alone suffer some of the injustices that I've heard about during the years I've been involved with the Tucson based non-profit, Children of Divorce.
My goal is to create a book that both communicates to angry parents that their careless/angry actions have real consequences for their kids while empowering kids to demand their right to continue having healthy relationships with both parents after a divorce.
Thanks,
Kara Bishop
P.S. The postcard I'm holding is one that I made for an interview about my website (link below). The interviewer asked me to make my own postcard expressing my reason/inspiration for creating the site.
