WHAT'S ALL THIS THEN: The Rabbit Gallery is an art gallery which utilizes for-sale spaces in urban areas promote local artists within the Appleton community.

OKAY, TELL ME MORE: Our pop-up gallery would provide many opportunities for everyone in the Appleton community. First of all, people do not like to look at empty spaces, and there are many for-lease areas on College Avenue. Our pop-up gallery would benefit the storefront owners who are attempting to sell, lease, or rent their properties. Were they to consent to hosting a pop-up gallery in their space, their land would get more foot traffic, and therefore more potential buyers, looking at their property.

The artists showing would also be one of the main beneficiaries of such an endeavor, for they would be able to sell their work for a higher commission than if they were to display their art anywhere else in Appleton. Most stores which exhibit art take 50% or more of the final sell price of any given work. However, our gallery, because it is specifically created to benefit the community and the individual artists, would take a mere 33% of the total price, allowing the artist to earn what they truly deserve. Also, the opportunity for the Lawrence artistic community to show in a professionally run art gallery would also be of an enormous advantage to their future professional careers. Not only could they list their participation in their artistic résumés, but, the self confidence that having their work shown and sold inspires is immeasurable.

OUR GOAL: To raise money to help us cover the cost of renting a space & paying utilities for two weeks!

Pop-up galleries have been immensely successful in larger cities, and we hope to make The Rabbit a permanent (though moveable!) part of the Appleton community.
