The Book Has Sold!

Hello too all my generous contributors!  I am happy to report that the Blackbird Bakery Cookbook has been sold to Abrams of New York with a manuscript delivery due date of March 15, 2013 and a publication date of November, 2013.  The final work will contain 100 recipes with 100 photos.  The photographer has still not been decided by Abrams just yet, but the moment I know, I will send you a link of their work.

I have also begun to sell the Blackbird Bakery Gluten-Free Flour blends through my website, to further help the at home chef attain gluten-free perfection each and every time they step in the kitchen.  Please visit my website to place an order and further information.

I've never been so nervous in all my life!!!!  Only 18 hours to go my gluten free family!!!!

The exceptionally talented Bryce Gilmore of Barley Swine, who was named by Food And Wine Magazine as one of the 10 Best New Chefs of 2011, is a semifinalist for the James Beard Award Rising Star, and is the man behind GQ's pick for Best New Restaurant in 2012 sat down with me to chat about the Blackbird Community Cookbook.  And guess what?  He loves it!!!!  He graciously shared his childhood favorite with me---French Toast.  Yet another fabulous recipe for the book!!!  I'm so excited!  Please send yours in today! It's All About Preservation! Tree Hugger Loves the Community Cookbook!

For those of you who know me best, you all know that I am a huge environmentalist (check out my website and search "plastics" and you will find a slew of articles that pertain to the gluten free lifestyle) so when Tree Hugger posted this article encouraging everyone to check out the Community Cookbook,  well, I blushed bigger than than Christmas!  Thank you, Tree Hugger!
