My name is Mary Meriam. I am a poet and the founding editor of Lavender Review. Lavender Review was born on Gay Pride Day, June 27, 2010. Lavender Review is an international, biannual e-zine dedicated to poetry and art by, about, and for lesbians, including whatever might appeal to a lesbian readership. 

Lavender Review is free and open to everyone. Lavender Review is a labor of love that requires huge amounts of searching, research, and connecting. I’m interested primarily in finding the best poets and artists working today, but also throughout history. The great lesbian poets and artists I’ve found deserve much more recognition, and it is my pleasure to bring them together and promote them in Lavender Review. 

The funds I need to keep Lavender Review alive center around my computer: hardware, software, internet service provider, webhosting, and supplies. Kickstarter’s rule is all or nothing: if we don’t reach the goal of $2,000 in 30 days, Lavender gets $0. Issue 5 will be published in June. Issue 6 will be published in December. I hope you’ll consider making a contribution. Thanks, everyone.
