Isabella Barella is an “adorkable” modern day sleuth who uses her intuitive abilities to solve mysteries and create crazy adventures on Sugar Key. She came complete with her very own spirit guide, Toby, who tries his best to council Isabella as she grows into her strong and unusual gifts.

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Not be such a weirdo tonight.”
Isabella Barella knows she’s different. She has been harshly judged and bullied too often in her short fourteen years. Isabella’s quirky personality and strange antics constantly put her into hot water with her mother who hopes her intuition is just a passing phase.
Vicious alligators, kidnappers, trapped in a hurricane, falsely accused and left for dead. She’s now on a collision course with bullies, killers and ghosts. Unfortunately, Isabella has a knack for getting into trouble - deep trouble.
Isabella learns to stand up for herself in the face of adversity, exactly what we want all of our kids to learn. She is the type of character that our kids can live vicariously through –and this is the kind of book that makes kids want to read! This book teaches kids to embrace who they are and that it’s okay to be different.
Once in a great while, we read a real story, about a real hero who is truly “adorkable.”
The funding will be used for publishing, editing, cover art, illustrations and public relations.

Meet the author, Carol Garton for a day in “Sugar Key”, Florida. The actual U.S. location of this tour will be revealed to you after our goal is met and fundraising has closed. You and your guest will tour of all the fun and exciting places that inspired Isabella Barella. The sand is like sugar, the water is azure blue and the sea shells will amaze you. You’ll visit a beautiful wildlife refuge; take a nature and sea life cruise where dolphins and manatees frequent the shallow waters…you may even encounter an alligator like Isabella and Sam. I’ll answer your questions as we have a semi-private meeting and I’ll personally sign your Hardback Copy of Isabella Barella in front of you, and I’ll mention you in a special thank you in the book.
