Update #4: We did it! And then some! (properly formatted)

Posted on November 19, 2011

Dear No Wine Left Behind Team,

We did it! We not only hit our original target after a mere two weeks but we blew right past it on our way to our new higher target and thanks to some generous pledges from the Farmer Veteran Coalition and the California Veteran Support Foundation, which are not reflected in the total, we exceeded the new target!

Thank you to all of you for making this possible. There are many familiar names but many of you I have never met and I am truly moved by everyone's decision to become backers. The outpouring of support has been unbelievable and your facebooks posts, emails, blogs, tweets, and pledges have made all the difference.

Thanks to you we will be able to share the film with others through film festivals, veterans groups, a website, and more. And based on our excellent screenings at the film's premiere last weekend, I know it will be warmly received.

This is not the end but only the beginning. In the next few weeks, I will be in touch to arrange delivery of your rewards. I will also send send out periodic messages just to backers to keep your posted on major developments with the film as well as to invite you to special events and screenings near you.

If you want to watch the progress of the film more closely, I encourage you all to LIKE the film on Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/NoWineLeftBehind

Again my eternal gratitude to all and more soon.

Sincerely,

Kevin and the rest of the No Wine Left Behind Team

Update #2: Passed Target and New Blog Coverage

Posted on November 10, 2011

Dear Friends,

This is a big week for No Wine Left Behind. We surpassed our goal, we got amazing blog coverage, and the film is having its premiere!

First, we have gotten a lot of attention in the blogosphere from veterans but particularly from wine lovers. The film was featured in Tom Wark's award-winning blog, Fermentation, and has since been re-blogged all over the place and even picked up by food sites. (Tom has since generously become a backer as well!). The rock band Train (Hey Soul Sistah, Save Me San Francisco) also featured us on their wine blog. And thanks to PopUp Magazine, the SFMOMA sent out a twitter blast to its 200,000 plus followers.

Second, with just seven days left, the campaign has surpassed its initial goal and is heading toward a new target of $6000!

And finally, the film is having its premiere this weekend at the Napa Valley Film Festival! There is a special Veterans Day screening tomorrow on Friday followed by 11am screenings on Saturday and Sunday. Details here. Come on up if you can!

Again, huge thank you's to all of you making this possible!

In tribute to Train, here is your afternoon entertainment: http://www.mtv.com/videos/train/644179/save-me-san-francisco.jhtml#artist=503197

Update #1: Amazing Progress and New Target!

Posted on November 1, 2011

Dear Backers,

The outpouring of support for the project has been unbelievable. Within three days we hit 50% of our goal and the donations have continued to come in. Support has been so strong that I realize I was too conservative with my target, so we are raising the goal to $5000, which is still only a fraction of our costs. And yes, we can even go beyond that!

There are only two weeks left, so please help us make another push! Post and repost on Facebook and most importantly please email anyone and everyone you think would be interested in the project. It's equally important to use the campaign as a way to build awareness around the film as it is to raise funds.

Another huge thank you!

Sincerely,
Kevin
