Like to have a picnic?

I guess a lot of people have had this experience: You have a nice picnic, and as soon as you start enjoying your food, a horde of ants, flies and other nasty critters start attacking your food. You try to get rid of them, but the more you fight, the more keep coming back.

This situation made me come up with an idea for a cool cardgame: Picnic Panic. It's a simple but fun principle. Each player has a face-down stack of insect-cards in front of him. In the middle of the table, three weapon-cards are placed face-up - fly-swatter, boot, and spray. Each weapon corresponds to one of the insect-types - fly, spider, and ant. Yes, I do know that spiders actually are no insects, but who cares? Let's just get rid of them!

Everyone turns over a card at the same time. Whenever there are at least two same insects of the same color visible, it's an attack. The first player who hits the corresponding weapon-card wins the attacking cards. It's fast, it's fun and it hurts - if you hit a card with another player's hand already on it. But that's even more fun.

As you can see, the beautiful illustrations for the game are already completed, same as a lot of testing-card-packs I used for sending to interested players. And almost everyone loved the game and asked where they can buy it.

My name is Yoda Zhang. Yes, my real name it is. I am a gamedesigner living in Germany and I have designed board games and computer games since almost 30 years now.
