What is this Ashes of Seraphim short film about, you ask? Well...

In the darkest reaches of Earth, a war is waging between demons and beings with the power to keep them in shadow.  One such being, believing himself betrayed by a friend, begins a perilous journey to reclaim the urn of his love and a brotherhood thought lost.

Ashes of Seraphim is a fantasy influenced by Roger Zelazny's The Chronicles of Amber.  The story structure draws from the work of Robert Bly and Joseph Campbell. 

Its running time will be about 20 minutes. 

Why do we need Kickstarter?

Simply put, finishing funds. We have to hire a digital effects artist to composite the final scene and add final touches to all the story elements. So much work has been done already and we feel that reaching out through Kickstarter will help us gather finishing funds and establish a fan base.

What will your contributions be used for?

Anachronistic setting.

The main character travels through shadow worlds to search for the urn containing the ashes of his lost love. These worlds contain residual material from different time periods, landscapes, and realms of existence. Wow, yes we did say it was a fantasy!

Hell yeah!  How much fun would a shadow world really be without entrenched demons and gatekeepers?

Oh, and they fight dirty...

...and die just as dirty!

Keep in mind that the incentives stack.  For example, if you donate at the Seraphim level you get all the incentives we offer. Alternatively, if you donate $20, you will also receive the $5 and the $10 rewards.

Hero Levels:

• $5: Three wallpaper designs for your computer desktop -- production art that you can use as you see fit.
• $10: Access to the private screening of "Ashes of Seraphim."  We will post the film in the middle of October and you will be able to view it anytime you wish for up to a month.
• $20: Access to a separate private online screening with an introduction by the producers and director, as well as access to “The Gatekeepers."  "The Gatekeepers" is a subplot of "Ashes of Seraphim" that had to be cut for timing and pacing purposes, but makes a fun three-minute thriller.  It gives a whole new perspective on the shadow worlds.
• $45: A vacation picture of yourself in the shadow world. We will talk you through setting up a photograph of yourself (or your cat) that we will place into one of our shadow worlds from the movie. You can delight your friends with your own vacation epic!
• $60: An 11x17 "Ashes of Seraphim" poster.
• $80: Your choice of one of our fun shirts designed by Brad Peterson of Unique Design & Web Services. 

Shadow Level:

$100: Access to “Ashes of Seraphim” original score by composer Peter J. Gorritz of PJG Music, member of the Dark wave band “The Last Dance."

Fury Level:

$200: Michael Peterson of Image Alchemy Productions (http://ialchemyproductions.com/) will customize and build you a silicone mask.

Seraphim Level:

$500: An executive producer credit on the film and on IMDB. Also, Michael Peterson of Image Alchemy Productions will customize and build a costume to match your Fury level mask (restrictions apply).
