Do your part to bring new music to Dallas this November! Free concerts, public school outreach, and community connection...

WELCOME new music and kickstarter fans!  Thanks for supporting the 2011 Dallas Festival of Modern Music in our quest to bring great music to the concert stage and classroom!

We have spent the last year brainstorming, composing, planning and pulling together a team in an effort to create the most exciting contemporary music series in the country.  Now we need YOUR help to make it a reality!

ABOUT THE DALLAS FESTIVAL OF MODERN MUSIC:

Born from a dream to bring the greatest masterworks of our era to a wider audience, the Dallas Festival of Modern Music engages the Metroplex every November.  Always entirely FREE, over the years the Dallas Festival of Modern Music has given dozens of concert performances featuring many of the finest soloists and ensembles in the country, including ensemble-in-residence Ars Nova Dallas, Impulse, Chameleon Chamber Group, NT3 Percussion Trio, and many more.  In addition, their public school outreach program, Musicalive!, has enriched the lives of more than 3,000 students across our region.

Experience the Dallas Festival of Modern Music in our 2011 season, November 2-6.  Ars Nova Dallas will perform the famous Soldier's Tale Suite by Igor Stravinsky, the Bartók Sonata for 2 Pianos and Percussion, Elliott Carter's Triple Duo, and the winning compositions from our 2011 Call for Scores. The most up to date information about our programming is always available at www.dallasmodernmusic.org.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Before sparks fly, the Dallas Festival of Modern Music needs your support to create another unforgettable season.  Help us reach our goal of $4,850 for this production and make it possible for us to bring this great music to even more audiences and students in Dallas.  Admission to our concerts is always free - help us keep it that way!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the DFMM is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization. That means any donations you send to our cause are tax-deductible to the extent that the law allows!

Now the POWER is in your hands. Here is what you can do:

  • $100 allows us to print program or make a flyer circulation.
  • $225 pays licensing fees for ASCAP or BMI.
  • $400 rents a single piece of music for one night of performance!
  • $450 pays a musician for a single concert cycle.
  • $500 covers venue costs.
  • $1,000 funds recording costs.
  • Remember too, support to the festival is tax-deductible!

Through the generous support of our donors over the past three years, the Dallas Festival of Modern Music has brought quality performances of new music to thousands via our concert series and educational programming.  Help us continue this legacy with your donation towards our most exciting season yet!
